TabRelief is designed to reduce unnecessary browser resource usage by unloading eligible idle tabs while keeping those tabs in the user's browser session.
Data TabRelief processes
TabRelief processes only the browser and system state required for its single purpose. This includes whether a tab is active, pinned, audible, already discarded, auto-discardable, loading, and when it was last accessed, plus the device's currently available system memory.
Data TabRelief does not access
TabRelief does not request access to tab URLs or titles, page content, browsing history, cookies, passwords, form values, downloads, bookmarks, emails, payment information, or authentication data.
Collection, transmission and sharing
TabRelief does not send user data, browsing activity, tab state, or system-memory information to the developer or to any third party. It has no analytics, advertising SDK, tracking SDK, account system, remote API, or cloud processing.
The user's light/dark theme preference is stored locally on the user's device using browser localStorage. It is not transmitted.
Data retention
TabRelief does not retain user data on a developer-controlled server because no developer-controlled server receives user data. Local theme preference remains on the user's device until browser data for the extension is removed.
Permissions
TabRelief requests the system.memory permission only to display available system memory to the user and to show a local before/after memory reading around a relief action.
TabRelief does not request host permissions, the tabs permission, browsing-history permission, cookies permission, or browsing-data permission.
Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
This website
This TabRelief website is a static informational site. It does not intentionally set advertising cookies, run analytics, create user accounts, or collect extension telemetry.
Changes
If TabRelief's data practices change, this policy will be updated before those changes are released where required.
