Terms of Use

Effective date: 26 August 2026

These Terms of Use apply to the TabRelief browser extension and the TabRelief informational website.

Purpose

TabRelief is designed to unload eligible idle browser tabs using Chrome-supported behavior while keeping those tabs in the browser session.

No performance guarantee

Browser resource usage depends on many factors, including active websites, other extensions, browser profiles, operating-system conditions and Chrome processes. TabRelief does not guarantee a specific reduction in CPU usage, memory usage, power consumption or system load.

Reload behavior and unsaved state

An unloaded tab can reload when selected again. Users are responsible for saving important work. TabRelief does not guarantee preservation of unsaved form entries, temporary page state, media state or application state inside a discarded page.

Acceptable use

You may use TabRelief for lawful personal or business purposes. You may not use it in a way that violates applicable law, attempts to interfere with the Chrome Web Store, or misrepresents the software or developer.

Availability and updates

Features may change as Chrome APIs, browser behavior or product requirements evolve. The developer may update or discontinue the software at any time.

Disclaimer

TabRelief is provided on an "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted operation or fitness for every browser workload, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Privacy

Use of TabRelief is also subject to the Privacy Policy.
